Families,
I was so thrilled to see your student's faces this morning and to hear that they were all safe during the Hurricane.
Students will have CogAT testing each morning through Thursday.
In Reading, students are digging deeper into nonfiction text to be able to answer questions about what they have read (WHO? WHAT? WHERE? WHY? WHEN?) In Math, students are continuing their study of quadrilaterals and their characteristics. Please encourage them to bring their math interactive notebooks home so they may study the vocabulary. It can get confusing at times. In Social Studies, students are learning about government and citizenship. This week they will learn about the 3 Branches of Government. In Writing, students are continuing to write their personal narratives. This week we are adding endings and learning how to revise our work.
Our classroom needs sheet protectors! We are all out! If you find yourself in the dollar store, Target, or Walmart, please purchase some for our class! We use them daily!! We are also in need of small, inexpensive items for our treasure box!
Thank you for all you do! Have a great night!
